Going Blind! Please help me achieve my wife's dream.

It is confirmed, I am definitely going blind! 

Please help me fulfill my wife's dream before that happens. 

  A dream she has had for years.  Here's the story.

I decided to go to an opthamologist (eye doctor) instead of waiting for the VA. That would take too long.  He tested me and confirmed a detached retina.  However, he also confirmed an advanced stage of glaucoma.  He told me that surgery for the detached retina would be a waste of time, since there is no way to stop the glaucoma.  Blindness is inevitable. 

Being as this changes everything, I do have one request from everyone who has given me moral, spiritual and financial support. 

My wife's dream for many years has been to live in a mobile home in her retirement years.  It is small enough to do the everyday housework, and gives our cat Big Boy a place to run and play in.

My wife's dream has become my dream, because I love my wife.  We have been married since August 26,1978.  We got married 12 days after we met, because we have two things mainly in common.  We both hate sports and we do not drink any beer or liquor of any kind..........and never have.

     I have also decided to study to become a minister.  I came across new information that convinces me that God does in fact exist.  And I am also convinced that Jesus was his son.  But I want to study more to become a Baptist minister.  

When Rev. Erick Graham and Jessica Crye of Athens, Texas in Henderson County first helped me with my pending blindness, they were acting the way that Christians should act.  Now that they and many others have saved us with money for rent and food and bills, now it is time to concentrate on the rest of our life with retirement and ministry.

    Rev. Graham and Jessica Crye affected my heart so much, that I decided to go into intense study of the Bible.  More than I had done before.

  But we have both agreed that once enough contributions come in and we can get the mobile home and move into it, money that is left will be sent directly to the Humane Society to help fight animal cruelty and abuse.
